Our Services

To See All Wounded Hearts Healed

We will walk gently beside you on your journey of hope and healing.

Our qualified therapists have Master’s degrees and are licensed, credentialed professionals who are trained in best practices. We strive to become the best in our field by embracing a life-long approach to learning and education, peer-supervision and spiritual development. Many private insurance plans cover the costs of our services.

We have made modifications to our daily operations to ensure the health and safety of our clients and clinicians. In order to reduce the risk of infection, we are currently offering e-counselling and telephone sessions to our clients. We are following the guidelines and recommendations of the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness as we prepare to reopen our offices for in-person counselling.

What is Christ-Centered Counselling?

Our counsellors work through a Christian lens and worldview. Being Christ-centered means that we believe in the dignity and value of every person and strive to communicate unconditional love and mercy to each individual.

We use a non-judgemental approach and strive to create a safe space for people to include their faith and spirituality in their counselling sessions, if they wish.

We offer a safe, holistic, non-judgemental approach in our work with individuals, families, and couples.

Are you are experiencing negative thinking, social withdrawal, mood changes, a loss of interest in life or thoughts of hopelessness? Therapy can deepen your understanding of depression, help you implement strategies to regulate your emotions, becoming more engaged in your life and relationships.

Anxiety

If you are experiencing an overwhelming amount of anxiety, dread, fear, worry or panic in your daily life, you are not alone. Therapy can greatly improve your quality of life through deepening your understanding of your thoughts and experience, shifting your relationship to your feelings, and learning effective coping strategies.

Grief

Are you feeling overwhelmed with sadness, feeling numb or removed from daily life or are uncertain whether your grieving process is normal? We all experience grief differently, there is no timeline, but there are stages. Mourning can last for months or years. If you are feeling stuck in your grief or if you need help rebuilding your life after loss, therapy is a helpful tool to assist you in this process.

Anger

Anger is a secondary emotion and is often a signal for us to make change in our lives and approaches.
Our qualified therapists can help you get to the source of the anger and create new strategies to help
you get the most of of your relationships.

Family Therapy

When two or more family members attend counselling to unpack and improve their family dynamics, stress is often high and communication has broken down making it difficult for the members to express the love that binds them together. In therapy, we help each member find and develop healthy ways to regain perspective and to build bridges of mutual understanding, respect and purpose.

Children & Youth

We respond to the unique developmental needs of each child using psychotherapeutic approaches that allow children to explore their lives and freely express their thoughts and emotions through play, art, drama and other creative activities. Through therapy, children learn to express themselves in healthy ways, alter their responses and behaviour and discover new ways to solve problems.

Couples

Every relationship requires nurture and care. Common couples counselling goals include: refining your communication skills, gaining conflict resolution skills, increasing safety, security, intimacy and developing problem solving strategies. We work with couples to establish healthy patterns that help you thrive in your relationship.
